RESEARCH FACILITY

Our involvement in this project was to produce a scope of work and all materials to completely rebuild this three cell Series 15 wooden field erected cross flow tower.

The existing wooden lath splash fill and grid system was replaced using Brentwood Industries XF75 high efficiency fill media specifically designed for Cross Flow Cooling Towers and XF150Max high efficiency drift eliminators and PVC drift eliminators supports.

In addition 90% of the structure was replaced using pressure treated structural grade pressure treated Douglas fir. All the hot water basins, side walls, nozzles and splash boxes were replaced.

This work was undertaken in two phases, one cell was kept in operation at all times while the re-build was in progress and the project was completed in March 2012.
